Pro-life month! and Guardian Angels!

Well, October is pro-life month, and i'm a day late! AH!
As you may have notices, I've totally re-done my blog! It really looks alot better now, i think.

So what are you going to be doing for Pro-life month? Are you going to some Pro-life Masses? Saying some Rosaries for the end of abortion? Writing some extra blog posts about life?. . . . .  Hehehe. . .

I'm going to be doing the last mentioned thing (or at least trying!) for sure. I'm also going to try to do the one in the middle. I don't know if I will have the chance to do the first mentioned, but if I can, I will!

So here marks the start of my pro-life blog posts for the month of October. They won't be everyday, but i
m going to try to do it at LEAST once a week. knowing me, we'll see how long that lasts. It's the thought that counts though ;)



Today is the feast of the Guardian Angels. Did you know that it is sometimes believed that each person has a guardian angel from the moment of conception?

"So by a natural law, each human being at conception is under the tutelage of a divinely chosen guardian angel. By God's will, each person's angel is distinct from every other and has complete knowledge of his charge, of you, and your needs." - Rev. Alfred Boeddeker

Some don't believe this. Some believe it's at Baptism that they are assigned. See Here

I think they are assigned at conception. It seems more probable to me, because God cares about each of us, even if we aren't baptized. And perhaps a person's Guardian angel could help bring them to the Faith.

I'm not really sure where i'm going with this, other than the fact that Life starts at conception. And if we are assigned our guardian Angel at conception, How cool is that? That Angel is there to guide that child, even thought he/she hasn't been born yet.

Even If you chose to give a child up for adoption, that Guardian Angel will still be with that child, always. To light, to Guard, to rule and Guide as the prayer says. They will always be watching out for you, even if you don't feel it. And if you keep the child, the same applies!

What an awesome God we have, that gives us such protectors and Guides!

The our Father

 Today I'm going to do the Our Father, or the Lord's Prayer.

Our Father, who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name 

God the Father is, well, our Father! In an adoptive sort of way. "Art" basically means are, so when we say "Who art in Heaven, we are pretty much saying "Who is in Heaven" therefore, we are attesting to the fact that God is in Heaven. Hallowed mean Holy. God is so Holy, that even His name is Holy! Our human minds are incapable of fathoming how great His Holiness is. 

Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, On earth, as it is in Heaven.

When we say "Thy Kingdom come" I am honestly not sure if we are just acknowledging the fact that God's Kingdom is coming, or if we are, in a sense, Welcoming it. Maybe both. We are Also basically telling God that we want His will to be done like it is in Heaven. Which means we want what He wants to be done, done, and we want it done perfectly, like it should be, and is being done in Heaven. 

Give us this day our Daily Bread,

Here we are asking God to supply for our needs. I think we may also be asking Him to give us our spiritual bread (The Eucharist) as well as our physical bread (food)

And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.

Here we are asking God to forgive us, like we forgive others. It is debated on wither or not a person holding a grudge should say this prayer because of this particular line.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Here, we are not implying that God leads us to temptation. He allows us to be tempted, but He doesn't do the tempting. We are simply asking Him to lead us away from the temptations, and deliver us from evil. 

In Mass, it is added at the end:

For the Kingdom, The power, and the Glory are yours, now and forever.

Here we are attesting that The Kingdom belongs to God. All power belongs to God. All Glory belongs to God. They are His now, and will be forever. 

The Hail Mary

I don't have much time for a long  post right now, so this week I'm going with a shorter prayer; The Hail Mary.

Hail Mary, Full of Grace, The Lord is with thee. 

We Hail Mary, because she is queen of Heaven. She is full of grace, because she never sinned. The Lord is with her, because The Lord was born of her, and she is now in Heaven with Him. 

Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit if thy womb, Jesus.

Mary is blessed among women, because God chose her, out of all the women on earth he could have chosen. He made her special, He protected her from the stain of original sin which everyone else is born with. 

Jesus is the "Fruit of her womb". He is blessed above all, the Son of God and The word made flesh. 

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. 

We Mary the "Mother of God" because she was Jesus' mother. Jesus is God, so that makes Mary the "Mother of God". Here, we ask her to pray for all of us, who are sinners, now and when we die. Mary is a great intercessor for us in Heaven. 

Prayer "Analysis" The Apostles Creed

Well, once again, I haven't posted since the ancient times of who knows when. But, also once again, i really hope to start posting more. And, also once again, that will probably only last a few days/weeks. LOL the never ending cycle of blogging…

Anyways, have you ever noticed yourself "going through the motions" when you pray? You'll say the words, but they all blend together and you really aren't paying attention. I admit, this is me. A lot. 

So, to help all of us poor distracted sinners refocus our minds, I thought it would be cool to do a "prayer analysis" where, each week (hopefully it'll last!) I'll go through a prayer, bit by bit, trying to explain what it really means, until I run out of Prayers that I know. 

So to start, let's Kick it off with the Apostles creed.

I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth.

You are stating here that you firmly believe that God really does exist, you acknowledge Him to be God. He is our Father, and the sole creator of all. 

And in Jesus Christ His only Son, our Lord. Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, Born of the Virgin Mary,

Here you are stating that you firmly believe that Jesus is God's only Son. You are also stating that He was conceived, not of a man, but by the Holy Spirit. And was born of the Virgin Mary. Therefore, Since He was "Born of the Virgin" that means Mary was still a Virgin. And she still is…

Suffered under Pontus Polite, was crucified, died and was buried.  He descended into hell.   

Here you state that you believe that Jesus was crucified, and Died. I think it is still uncertain what the scriptures mean by "Descended into hell" but I could be wrong.

The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into Heaven, and sits at the Right Hand of God the Father Almighty. 

Here you state you belief that Jesus truly did rise from the dead. He ascended up into Heaven, and Sits at God's right hand. 

I believe in the Holy Spirit, The Holy Catholic Church, the 

Communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection  of the body, and life everlasting. Amen

Here you state that you believe in the third person of the trinity, The Holy Spirit. You believe that the Catholic Church is the right way to go. You believe in the communion of Saints. You believe that our sins can be forgiven. You believe in resurrection. You believe that we can abstain life everlasting, in Heaven. 

Well, there it is. It's not perfect, and still has a few parts that i couldn't really explain. But there it is, none the less. 

God works in Mysterious ways

Something that I find, frankly, Amazing, Ironic, and too good to be a coincidence recently happened.

If you know me, you may or may not know that for the last two summers, I have been volunteering at the Cincinnati zoo and botanical gardens as a Junior Horticulturist. (gardener)

I love doing it. Working as a gardener at the zoo really sparked an interest in plants that I didn't really have before. I had wanted to work with animals a little more that plants originally, but they required more time, and we have a bit of a drive to the zoo, so I couldn't do that. So I became a Junior Horticulturist. I like nature in general, and plants are a part of that, and I will still be around the animals, so why not?

Occasionally, especially last year, I would have doubts about working at the zoo.I would think "couldn't I be using my time wiser? Couldn't I be working in a soup kitchen, or a crisis pregnancy center, or some other charity, so that I could actually help people directly?"

But then i would go to say my morning prayers. Last year, I Worked at the zoo on thursdays. Guess what the "Short reading" for Thursdays was?

1 Peter 4:10-11
Each one of you has received a special grace, so, like good stewards responsible for all these different graces of God, put yourselves at the service of others. Of you are a speaker, speak in words which seem to come from God; if you are a helper, help as though every action was done at God's orders, so that in everything God may receive the glory, through Jesus Christ, since to Him alone belong all glory and power for ever and ever. Amen

" if you are a helper, help as though every action was done at God's orders, so that in everything God may receive the glory" That part was the part that hit me the most. I would feel a little more encouraged about it and think, well, Right now I am a helper.

So, fast forward to recently. I have been praying a bit about what He wants me o do this summer, thinking that maybe I would volunteer at a crisis pregnancy center or soup kitchen or other charitable organization this year. I still had those little nags that kept asking me, really? The zoo? Is that going to help people in need?

So, We were in Church, and one of the morning announcements was that the person who had been doing the garden work at our Church was retiring, and that they needed someone to take over.

BOOM! There it was! Perhaps this is why I have been working as a garden person at the zoo!

If I hadn't started working there in the first place, I might not have been interested at all. I wouldn't have the same love of plants and gardens that I do now.

If I hadn't worked there, I wouldn't have gotten the same experience with plants that i have now. Sure, weeding and watering are things that everyone can do, But last year they let me prune a Trumpet vine that was growing out of control! It wasn't perfect when i was done, I had never pruned a trumpet vine before, and probably never would have gotten the opportunity to, But it was a good learning experience and I don't think it looked too bad when I was done ;)

So, in order to help me figure out what God wants me to do, I called them today, to find out what was going to be involved.

Basically, It the same stuff i was doing at the zoo! Weeding, Watering, Mulching, Planting, Pruning etc.

The way I see it, It's Like God was training me, through helping to take care of the zoo's gardens, so that I could take care of His!


AHHH! I'm really excited now.

I still haven't completely decided yet, I still need to Pray about it more, but I am leaning more towards helping my Church this year. I mean, I'm going to miss working at the zoo, I got to know a few people and it was fun, but I think this may be what God it calling me to do now.

I am just in awe. God is amazing. I know that He knows all, and that He always has a plan. I beleived these before I started at the zoo. But I surely didn't realize that helping out at a zoo might be part of that!

So there you go! He really does work in mysterious ways, and we may not even realize when!

 And always remember, " if you are a helper, help as though every action was done at God's orders, so that in everything God may receive the glory" ;) :D

 

Which path?

While praying tonight, something occurred to me. I'm not sure if it was a distraction, or if God was trying to get through to me. Either way, I think it is good, and there fore, I shall share it :)

While writing this and thinking about it more, i have expanded on the occurrence quite a bit.

It occurred to me that there are many different paths to Heaven. God has chosen a path for each of us to take. If we try to take someone else's path, it doesn't work right. Not saying that others can't inspire us, I'm just saying that God has chosen a path for you, and that path is the one He wants you to take. It might be a hard path. Very often they are hard, but we should still follow them because God has it all planned out, and He knows best. After all, He Created us!

There also, are many different paths to, well, the opposite of Heaven. The good paths and bad paths often cross, because human ways are imperfect, due to original sin. Sometimes our paths intersect with other people's paths, and sometimes they run alongside them. And perhaps Sometimes we see someone who has strayed off of their path, and part of our path is to help them get back on their's!

So while we are walking on our path to Heaven, there may come a fork on the road, or maybe even several different forks. Only one of these paths is the right path to take. Sometimes it is hard to tell which path is right. So we need The Lord to guide
us.

Also, we have each been given different tools to help us, and each other, reach the final goal. God has given us these tools, or talents, in order to help us and also to help others on our paths. We each have been given these talents for a reason. Maybe you don't think you have one, but maybe you just haven't found it yet. You maybe you have and you don't realize it!

We also have certain obstacles on our paths.

For instance, one who has a talent of singing, can use that talent to spread God's word through song, and inspire others. But perhaps they may often have doubts and think that their singing isn't good enough. So then Someone comes along who is good at cheering others up, being compassionate and helpful. Now the singer is spreading God's word through song, there fore God receives Glory, and the helpful person has brought Glory to Hod by being compassionate and encouraging this person to push on. There fore, These two have helped each other, moved forward on their paths, maybe inspired some one else to push on, and therefore, God receives Glory!

Luckily, we can get back On the right path again, if we make the mistake of choosing the wrong one. But we need Him to help us.


I've been praying abit for God to tell me what He wants me to do with the life He has granted me. I am still not sure which path I am called to take. I know that He will let me know when He knows I am ready. Sometimes I get a little impatient
sometimes, and I just can't wait for Him to tell be so that I can start preparing, but I guess right now my path is to wait. Impatience is one of my obstacles I guess.

Fight for Life.

This day, Jan 22nd, 40 years ago, America made the decision to allow abortions in this country.

What a dark day that was.

Since then, 54,559,615 children have been aborted in the United States of America.

54,559,615.

54,559,615 little Hearts stopped.

54,559,615 little human beings who will never see the world.

54,559,615 different personalities that will never get to shine.

54,559,615 little children who will never experience the joy of life.

They will never see the sunshine or breath the sweet air. They will never get to run, or pick flowers. They will never get the chance to Love on this earth. Never get the chance to Laugh in this world. Never get the chance to Live on this wonderful planet that God has given us.

They never got a chance.

They couldn't cry out for help. They could defend themselves.

These innocent children were murdered.

Why?

Why did we end 54,559,615 little lives?

Why did we never give 54,559,615 people the chance to live?

Why did this nation allow 54,559,615 children to be Killed!?



Will you help them? Will you stand up for life? Will you be the voice for the voiceless? The defense for the defenseless? Will you join to Fight against these murders? Will you protect Life at all stages? From conception to natural death?

If you answered yes to these questions, The you are on your way. You are on your way to become a soldier for life.

We don't use all the same weapons that any other soldier might use. We mostly use more powerful ones.

The Rosary, The Mass, Prayer. These weapons are much more powerful. More powerful than any earthly weapon. Though we don't always see the effects immediately, they are more powerful.

Have you ever looked at all those tiny hair like things in a feather? Ever wonders how many are on each one?

Have you ever seem a little white flower, just bobbing in the breeze? It's so delicate, how can it even stand up?

Ever looked at a little green lacewing on a tree? It is so tiny. How does it even fly, would 't it get caught in the slightest breeze?

Have you ever seen all the veins on a maple leaf? Looked at all the intricate detail in it?

Ever watched the sunrise, and felt to warm rays of fresh sunlight on your face?

Have you ever really listened to a bird's beautiful songs?

Have you even looked up at the stars and attempted to count them?

Have you ever watched a bumblebee collect pollen from a flower and fly off to make it into honey?

Have you ever wondered how many grains of sand there are in the sea?

Have you ever watched dandelion seeds fly in the wind? So whispy and light, where will they land?

Have you ever wondered how much water each cloud holds?

Have you ever looked at the sheen on a butterfly's wings?

Have you ever watched a deer run?

Have you ever taken the time to slow down? Step back? Take a deep breath and enjoy all the little things?

God out so much detail into everything! Have you noticed?

Confession

Have you been to confession lately? If not, i strongly encourage you to go! I just went today, and I feel wonderful!

Maybe you are a bit scared. Nervous. I always am. Some times it even causes us to procrastinate going. "We'll, I'm not that bad off right now." "It can wait till next week" we keep putting it off. But why not just go now and get it done with?

I really like going to confession. Well, I don't particularly like telling my sins to someone, but when I receive that absolution, my soul just goes "Ahhhhh."

The burden of sin has been lifted and all that weight has been taken off. My soul has been released from the slavery of sin and the bonds of evil and it just feel like it's flying. I just feel so peaceful and wonderful knowing that I have been forgiven even though I don't deserve it.

You get another chance. You get to start over!

Yes, you have to let another human know all the terrible things you've done. Your negligence, wrong acts, bad thoughts and sinful desires. But he's not going to tell anyone. He's not allowed to under the seal of the confession.

But there is someone else in the confessional. God's there. He already knows what you've done and what you've failed to do, and He's ready to forgive you if you ask. If you are willing Try again. If you are willing to confess the wrong you've done and are sorry, He is there. He's got you in His hand.

I always go in very nervous. Anxiety runs in my family. I always come out feeling amazing. It's worth it.

All the bad things we've done. All the times we have offended the Almighty God of Heaven and earth. And all we have to do is go to confessions and do our penance and poof! He forgives you!

How merciful and great is our God! I deserve a terrible punishment, but he just gives me a penance, forgiveness and peace!

The feeling of forgiveness, the peace that comes with it and the knowledge that you have been forgiven is always worth the anxiety of confessing our wrongs.

I felt sad, anxious, worn out, afraid and dead earlier. Now I feel joyful, peaceful, safe, and alive.

Next time you get the opportunity to go to confession, don't put it off. Go. You will be glad you did!

A chance

What would you feel like, If you didn't have a Life?

Well, that's a bit hard to explain, because if you had no life, you would not be alive.

What kind of emotions would you feel, if someone decided to kill you because they could not care for you, or didn't feel like caring for you, when they could have let someone else care for you?

Unloved? Worthless?

Aren't you glad that your mother chose life!?

It may not have been a big deal for your mom. Maybe she had no question in her mind whither or not she was going to let you be born. But maybe not. Maybe she was pressured to abort you. Maybe she made a mistake in life, or maybe something terrible happened to her, and she was pressured by everyone to abort you, and maybe just start over again some other time, when it was "Planned"

But she didn't abort you. She didn't choose to end your life, before you had seen the beauty of the world.

Maybe you were adopted. You may never know who your biological parents are. But you can know this. I bet they loved you. Know why? Because they chose life. They chose to give you up and let someone else have the joy of raising you, instead of having your life "surgically" ended.

You have a life. No matter how poor you are. No matter how terrible your situation is. No matter how far you have drifted or fallen, You have your life, and your life is your hope.

You could be in a prison somewhere, maybe in a foreign country. Maybe you are being tortured to reveal something that you simply will not reveal. Maybe they are starving you, and tearing you a apart physically and mentally and you can't escape. But, you are alive. You are alive! You may feel like dying, but Life is Hope! No matter how unlikely it is, Someone could come and rescue you. A miracle could occur. You never know. Hope. Hope is life, and Life is hope!

So no matter what you situation is, Please, chose life! Maybe your child will be disabled. Maybe they are only predicted to live a few moments before they pass away. Maybe your child will be poor. Maybe your child will not have a father. Maybe you will have to give the joy of raising a child to someone else through adoption. But, they will be alive! No matter how long or short, No matter how poor. No matter that they may never know you, They will have a chance. You, will have given them that chance. You!

Election day

I don't usually have two posts in the same day, but tomorrow is so important to Me, My family, and all of this country, so I am making an exception.

Who are you going to vote for? Who are you appointing leader of our country? Who are you entrusting our jobs, families, property, Religion and Freedom with? Are you even going to vote at all?

I believe this year's election is going to be one of the most important of my lifetime, and unfortunately, I'm not quite old enough to vote yet. Do you know why it is so important to me, and countless others? Because our Religious freedom is at stake. Me and My religion believe that contraceptives and abortions are wrong. The HHS mandate is going to start forcing all employers to provide health insurance to all employees. While i do believe that Health insurance is important, The insurance has to cover contraceptives. We are going to have to pay for what we believe to be wrong, or face fines. Who knows how much those fines will be, but I am sure it will be no easy amount.

This is wrong! We are being forced to go against our consciences and pay for what we know is wrong! If we refuse, we can pay fines, and if we cant pay? Who knows.

 Vote for what you KNOW is right. Is this right? Should we be forced to go against what we believe to be right, or face fines? Even if you do not believe that contraceptives are wrong, why should we not have freedom to practice what we believe?

Please, Please vote tomorrow if you can. Vote for freedom. Vote for your Family. Vote for your loved ones and friends. Vote for America.

If you are too young, like me, Pray.  Pray for our country. Pray for our freedoms. Pray for our leaders. Pray for our families, loved ones and friends. Pray for whoever gets elected, that they may have wisdom and compassion. That they may realize what a very large responsibility they have now been entrusted with. That they may do what is right for this country.

Everyone is called to do something important.

Life is a wonderful gift that God has given us all. We are alive. It is true, there have been times of sadness and suffering in our lives. A relative passes away. An opportunity closes. A friend betrays us. We lose our Job. There are many times when sadness has entered our lives. There may have even been a time when you have asked "Why am I Alive?"

But There have also been times where we have been happy! Someone gets married. Someone is born. A friend shows how loyal they are to you. Someone tells you how much they love you. We find a job. A new opportunity opens. We discover a new friend. We find our talent. We celebrate someone's birthday. There may have even been a time when you have thought to yourself  "This is what I was born for."

We are all created for a purpose. Some discover their calling sooner, some later. I'm still unsure of my calling. Some people have callings that will make them stand out. Maybe make them famous. Some have callings that will just seem ordinary, but that does not make them any less of a person. 

Every calling is important. Parents, Teachers, Presidents, Scientists, Doctors, Friends, Helpers, Workers. They are all important. Our society Cannot function properly without each and every one.

If each of us has a calling, How will aborted children ever discover or carry out theirs? The answer is they won't. What if one of them was called to discover the cure for cancer? What if one of them was called to be the first person on mars? The next Bach or Beethoven? I am sure that many of them were called to be Parents. Teachers. Workers. Friends. 

Whatever the calling, Great or small, They will never be able to carry it out!  Thousands of little hands will never get to write. Thousands of little feet will never get to walk. Thousands of little eyes, will never get to see. Thousands of little ears, will never get to hear. Thousands or little hearts, will never get to love.

There are Thousands of little voices that cant speak up for themselves!

Will you be their voice?

A person is a person, no matter what you call them.

In the wise words of Dr. Seuss' Horton the Elephant " A person's a Person. No matter how small!"
This saying is already so true. They may be too small to recognize as Humans right now, but they are.
I believe you could even alter this slightly. "A person's a person no matter what they are called" could also be said.
Some people call unborn babies "Fetus" or "Embryo". Call them what you will, it does not change the fact that they are a human.

You can call a dollar just a sheet of green paper, but it is still a dollar.

You can call a blanket a piece
of cloth, but it is still a blanket.

You can call carrot an orange stick of vegetable matter, but it is a carrot.


Yet another variation!

We may not be able to recognize very young unborn children as humans yet, but does this mean that are not a human? No. They are a human.

And another
"A persons a person, no matter what they can do"
Disabled people are just as worthy of life as any "typical" person.
They may not be able to speak well. So what? They are still people! They may not be able to run as fast. So what? That does not take away the fact that they are human! They may not be able to learn as quick or as much, so what? They are still humans and that is that!
My little sister has Down's syndrome, ad she is amazing. She is seven now. She can read a little, she can sing, she can run, she can help with things like washing dishes and pet care. She will be making her first confession and Communion this year! She may never become a rocket scientist, but if anyone ever told be that she should have been aborted because she may not have the same capabilities as us, i don't know what i would say to them. I would be so flabbergasted. I would be mad. I would feel sorry for them. I really don't know what i would do.

I have read a quote (do not know who said it though.) that "The character of a man can be judged by how he treats those who can do nothing for him."
Think about that. An unborn child, or a disabled person, and do much for you. Well they can, but that another topic. The point is, on the outside it seems they can't do much. Are you going to be a good character, or a bad one?


So, here is my full modification is Horton's famous quote.
"A persons a person, no matter how small, what they look like, or what they are called. Who cares what they may not be able to do, they are still people like me and like you!"

Adoption: the loving option

I know that some people have an opinion of abortion like "Well, it depends on the circumstances."
For instance, these folks may believe that, if a woman is a victim of a violent act and conceives, or if she cannot take proper care of the child, that abortion is ok under these circumstances.

To these folks, and all people who are considering abortion for these reasons, I have a suggestion.
I understand that you may not be able to take care of the child, due to the situation you are in, or for other reasons.
I understand that you may have been a victim of a terrible, horrible act, and that the conception of this child wasn't "Your choice".

But, why should your child be aborted? It is not his/her fault that you cannot take care of them, or were a victim of a terrible act.

Choose adoption! Through choosing adoption, you are making a wonderful, beautiful choice. You are choosing to let this child live! Yes, i know that they could end up in the orphanage for a very long time, or even until they are grown. But, it is better than never having a chance! It is better that never breathing, never dreaming, never having the chance to love, and care, and grow, and live!

Adoption is truly the loving option.
Adoption is beautiful.
Through giving this child up for adoption, instead of aborting him/her, you are saving a child's life, and possibly giving someone else the joy of raising a child.

Therefore, you are saving a life, making the right choice, and possibly even granting some one else joy.
Choose life.

Another Life topic: Euthanasia

Euthanasia is in no way humane. "Mercy killing" is wrong. It is still killing.

Even if someone is, say, in a comatose state, or even brain dead, and it is unlikely that they will ever come out of it, it is wrong. Miracles do happen, an if you don't believe in miracles, there are sometimes things that even our modern science cannot explain. Even if they never come out, it is right to remove their food/water supply so that they slowly, slowly, die from starvation/de-hydration? No. That, sounds like Torture. How do we know if they can feel pain or not? Would you like to slowly stave and dehydrate if you were in this situation? If you answered yes to this question, i truly feel sorry for you. Life is worth living and these people, like the unborn, cannot speak out for themselves. They can't cry out for help, they can't scream in agony, they can't defend themselves. We have to be Their voice.
They may never come out if it, I'm not saying that everyone will always recover. Even though miracles happen, that kind of miracle is kind of rare. Yes, i understand that these people may be suffering already. But who are we to take a life? It is God's job to decide who comes and who goes, when and where. Not ours. A quick example, your rose bush has gone dormant for some reason. Are you going to keep watering it and see what happens, or give up hope and toss it out with the compost? I have a little rose bush in my kitchen, and it will occasionally look dead for some reason or another (eg, usually because i forgot to water it, but that's not part of the story) and once j start giving it attention and care, it has always just come back! Right now it look dead, and í think it may actually be dead this time, but I'm not giving up on them yet. I know, plants are different than people. But, the moral of this story is, don't give up on someone because it looks like they will die soon anyway.

Elderly people also deserve life. So they can't take care of themselves anymore. Maybe they can't have a job or drive any more. Maybe they do keep getting sick. Maybe they are weak in the body. Why should we take their life?
There is something about elderly people. They are so wise. So full of stories and advice. Even though they may be weak in the body, a lot of them are strong in the spirit. I know a few elderly people who are very devoted to God. I really look up to them for this. I know I need to work on putting more faith and trust in God.
The elderly deserve respect. They may not be able to do things anymore, but the are not worthless. Even if they can't even talk anymore, they are not worthless. Why should we kill them?
I once heard a fairy tale, i believe by the brothers Grimm, and in this fairy tale there was a young couple, Thier son, and the son's grandpa. Now, the old man was so old, that when he went to eat, he would spill his food all over, etc. The two young people were displeased with this, so they made him eat from a wooden trough in a corner. One day they saw Their son playing with some wood on the floor. One of them asked "What are you doing?" To which the little boy replied something like "I am making a wooden trough for mother and father to eat out of when they grow old." The couple then realized the error of their ways, and put the old man back at the table to eat, with the family, with the normal utensils.
Do we want to be like this young couple before or after Their son made them a trough? Is it going to take our children talking about euthanizing us, for us to change?

We were all unborn once, and growing old is inevitable. Who is going to speak up for us when we are old, if we don't protect the people when they are unborn? Who will speak up for the unborn when we are old, or passed on, if we don't teach people Now.
Now is the time to become the voice.
Now is the time to take action.
Now is as good a time as any other time to start speaking up for the defenseless. Will you?

Prolife: Green?

Well, I know that people are often concerned with "Overpopulation" of the earth, and that abortion might be a good choice to control this. (along with birth control)

I have a different opinion.
I don't really want to offend anyone,
But to be blunt about it, in my opinion, the world is Not over populated with people. I believe the world is over populated with greed. It's a sad thing, but I do believe it's true. Maybe if all of us could give up a little, we wouldn't seem overpopulated. We don't *Need* that snazzy new car. We don't *need* the fanciest house on the block. We don't *need* every fashion trend that rolls off the runway. If we gave up some of our extras, í think there would be enough for the people struggling with getting the necessities.

I have also thought that perhaps people think abortion is green because more people equals more waste right? And if the human race were to die off, the earth would become beautiful.

I think I have found a flaw with this theory. We already have so much here, that after years if us being gone, things would start to fall apart without care, which i think would cause even more pollution. For instance, we have oil and gas stuff. If someone did not maintain these facilities, they could leak, right? It's just my guess, but i think I am right. The trash that is all over the place now, would never get cleaned up. I think the solution to this issue is Education. In the words of that owl from the "fox and the hound", "eradication! Lack of education!". Perhaps these folks believe that the human race should die off, because we make too much waste, but maybe we could teach people, to clean up, don't litter, combine trips, care for the environment! There will always be folks who just don't care, but if we care, I believe we can make a difference without killing anyone!

So in my opinion, pro-life is the way to go when it comes to being "green"z teach the children about caring for the earth when they are young, and still have a sense of wonder. Seriously, what little kid isn't mystified by a giraffe? A giant tree that they can put their arms around? A peacock's bright feathers? Tadpoles? Fish? Dogs, cats, deer, butterflies, i could go on all night about the wonders of creation that need to be protected! The point is, teach them to love this earth we have been given, and i think it will pay off. Teach them to share with our fellow people, and i think it will pay off.

Top 5 reasons Why I am Pro-Life

1. God created life. Life is a precious gift from God, given to each of us. Some of us will live longer, some shorter, some will have a harder path, some easier. But we should not take it upon our selves to decide when someone should die. That is God's job.

2. I was raised this way.
I was raised Pro-life for as long as I can remember. It is so imprinted on my heart, that when I hear of abortion or euthanasia, I can sometimes get very passionate about speaking out against these terrible deeds.

3. I enjoy life!
Yes I do! I am glad to be alive! I believe that everyone should have a chance to love, thrive, grow, and live in this beautiful world God created!

4. Killing is killing, no matter how "hidden" it is.
This child is not a blob of tissue. They are not a parasitic organism. They are not a chain of cells or some chromosomes. They are HUMAN BEINGS! Just like us! We ALL started out like this once, tiny, helpless, almost not recognizable sometimes. But we were given that chance! We were given the chance we needed to grow, live, breath, love.

5. The fifth commandment is "Thou shalt not kill"
Abortion is murder! The murder of a small, innocent, defenseless human child. They cannot cry out for help.
They can not defend themselves.
It seems that these children are taken advantage of! They can't cry out, they can defend themselves, they can't survive the outside world yet, so this takes away their humanity? Not in my view. They are as much human as you and I!

These children need us to be their voice. They need us to protect them. Will you speak up for the voiceless? Will you defend the defenseless? Why should these children have their lives taken away from them as if they were some kind of monster?

October is Pro-Life month

Well, October is Pro-Life month. I have decided that during this month, I am going to start posting some Pro-Life articles, Hopefully at least once a week :)

Human Life begins at conception. That is that. at the Moment of conception, This child, though very small, and possibly not recognizable yet, Is a HUMAN. This child is Alive! They are not just a blob of tissue or a mass of cells. They are a Human. A person. One of us!

At just 18 days old, This child's heart will start beating!
At only 40 days old, Their Brain waves will be detectable.
Some ultrasounds have seen Babies at 2 months old, Sucking their thumbs.
12 weeks, They can hear.
4-5 months old they can kick, and they have Finger prints!

They are Alive.

We were all unborn children once. But our Mothers chose LIFE! Life is a Precious gift! Cherish it! You and I have received this Wonderful gift from God! Why should these children have this Wonderful gift taken away from them?

Happy feast of the Assumption!

Happy feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary into Heaven! This is the day where Mary was taken up the Heaven by God. A few things I would like to share with you, that you might find interesting :)

First, I read something strikes a very good point. It told the difference between Mary's assumption and Jesus' Ascension.
Ascension: Jesus rose up to heaven by his own power.
Assumption: Mary rose up to heaven by God's power.
I never really thought of the difference before, so it was good to see this.

Next. I know that alot of Non-Catholic religions may think that Catholics worship Mary. Sadly, you have been misinformed. We do not Worship Mary, we pray differently to Mary than we do to God. When Jesus was during in the cross for us sins, gave Mary to us as our mother. So alot of times we are talking to Mary like we would our mother. We ask for her prayers for us to God, and for her to intercede for us and to help us gain virtues. Yes, we do thank her and honor her for what she did here on Earth, but it's not worship.

So there are a couple of good facts for you. I hope you had a blessed day.

Arm yourselves.

A time is drawing near where our Religious freedom, along with a few other rights are at risk. Already our consciences are being torn, and innocent children are dying everyday. So, arm yourselves, warriors of God! Arm yourselves with Prayer, Faith, Sacraments, Truth, Hope and charity, Arm yourselves with goodness, righteousness, chastity, and courage. Take heart, warriors. Your Prayers are not in vain. For The Lord hears them all. You may not get the answer you want, or when you want it, but have faith, He hears you. Have hope, dear friends. For as long as we live there is always hope. Hope for peace, Hope for goodness, Hope for this world to turn away from its dark paths, to the true paths of light. I heard it said somewhere ( don't know by whom or when) that all it takes for evil to triumph is for Good people to do nothing. So take action, dear warriors! Take action with haste! Pray as you have never prayed before, Live and Love as if there is no tomorrow, for you never know when the day shall come that you shall be called by the Lord,
Steer yourselves away from sin and evil. Walk in the light always, and do good works. We must prepare ourselves for the time coming, when we will have to take a stand for our faith, our freedom, our families. So arm yourselves in virtue, arm yourselves with prayer. Do not forget two of your greatest weapons, the Rosary and the Bible.
Stand firm in your faith friends, and trust in the Lord always.
