the toys

did you know that your toys are alive?
that's right all your soldiers and cowboys and divers that dive!
they sleep with their eyes open, when your playing
with 'em their hoping that your mother will call you
so they can get up.
all your Indians and horses,
and your army forces.
and when no ones around
they get up and then jump down from the shelf you put them on!
you can't hear their heart beat,
cause their too small,
the one legged cowboy and the little lost doll,
all get up and play all day while your at school!
they have enemies and friends,
little letters they send to each other.
if you put up a camera you won't catch 'em
cause they are always watch'in!
but you will never see them play cause they
have a special way to find little spys who
watch to see you!
they sometimes have little wars
they use your mothers pins as swords
but they never get hurt in the army
but if you drop them it's a different story!
so little girls and boys
be nice to your toys
and put them in a safe place!
because if you leave them out
someone would step on them!
even though they do not shout they might be hurt!
they have adventures at night,
but when they see the light,
they know you'll be wak'in up
so back on the shelf they jump
and go back to sleep.
